Custom Pottery

Though not common, I do accept requests for custom work from time-to-time. I greatly prefer working without boundaries and allowing my art to materialize on its own. However, I've decided to open my availability for one special type of work that is continuously requested; horsehair pottery.

An aesthetic tradition centuries old, horsehair pottery is a labor-intensive, multi-step process where real horsehairs are laid on hot ceramic and immediately vaporized, leaving behind a unique, beautiful carbon marking set into stone forever. 

I first sourced horsehair from local stables and before long, horse owners from around the country began contacting me for their own piece of eternal art featuring their beloved equestrian friends.
